If you have a PTSD dog they are and it is a good place to eat
The restaurant was nice, tables clean and our waitress was friendly. I order the "Alfredo Pasta (chicken)" and didn't take more than 3 bites. The "Alfredo" sauce was a runny soup with oil drops throughout and tasted like onion juice water of sorts. Although the menu stated that it had bell pepper and such in it, it in fact did not, only diced onion. My mother ordered the Indian fry bread and tater rounds. Both looked well-overcooked in old grease to me; turns out they tasted that way too.Waitress was very kind in taking those two meals off the ticket given that neither of us ate our meals.
Ate breakfast and the food was good, prices were very cheap for the quality and amount received. Had the red rock breakfast platter and everything was delicious unfortunately the pancake I got was burnt. I informed the waitress and they did go to replace it, the unfortunate part and what earned only three stars is apparently the cook was offended that I sent back the burnt pancake bc what I received next was an undercooked pancake, both things are obvious the first shouldn't have been sent out and the second was just seen as rude. Aside from this issue the staff was friendly and I would probably give them another shot.
The food was delicious. Nice portion sizes and reasonably priced. I would eat there all the time if it wasn't eight hours from my home. I will be back!
Hostess was incredibly helpful! We had a gluten allergy in our group, and she made sure to accommodate (gluten free bun with bison burger, subbing side salad for fries). We were in town during Sturgis opening weekend, and she was hospitable and in good spirits throughout our interactions even with a busy restaurant. We were able to place a takeout order ready to go in 25 minutes. Wouldn’t go anywhere else! (Also observed COVID precautions for dine-in, including staff with masks and seating every other table.)
Salad bar was completely empty, grilled chicken dinner 2 piece for $14 was supposed to have thigh and breast. Came deep fried and battered with a breast and a wing. No butter for rolls (hard btw), vegetables or potatoes, ordered steak tips med rare but came med well. Not to mention the flies ....Sad experience to say the least!!!!
Great meal at fair price. Pork chops and steak are Very good.
Friendly staff. That may be the only positive here. Appetizers came in after meal. Burgers were undercooked, chewy, and bland. No beer on draft. Ended up here because it was a holiday and everywhere else was closed. Too bad it turned out like this. Overpriced for what you get.
Great sports bar in Wall South Dakota. Good food ice cold beer.
Super great server. Great food!
Waitress was friendly, food came fast. Fry bread was overcooked and tater tots over-over cooked! Meat seasoning on the taco was good. My daughter got Alfredo Pasta and half the ingredients were missing and the pasta looked like it was sitting in water!!
Friendly, fast, not expensive. Cannot say it's delicious. Salads are good in salads bar. Stake was just fine.
Came here on our way back from Nemo, S.D. We had a lot of appetizers, all delicious! The steak was like a picture out of an magazine. Cooked perfectly
Service was good. The food was not made right and it was disgusting. I had the wall burger. It was missing the garlic sauce and no sauteed onions. It was over cooked and the ham was tough as leather. I would not recommend😟
This place was horrendous. There were more flies than the crowd of customers. The salad bar was a petri dish waiting to be examined by the cdc
We stopped in this Lil town over night on our way to Mount Rushmore. WHAT A GEM! Flavor, Wonderfully cooked, Fantastic service. A MUST STOP! Prices are affordable as well. My family runs an Italian Artisian Restaurant in Indianapolis, so we know what fresh food is. I will want to come back. Too bad I live too far, otherwise i would have breakfast here everyday❤️ Very impressed!
Stopped for breakfast it was great! The hash browns were real. The eggs were cooked the way you wanted them. The biscuits were fluffy and the bacon had a great flavor. The wait staff was fun and inviting! Only down side was they didn't put butter on the toast right away so the bread was a little hard by the time I could get it buttered, but the sour dough had a good flavor. I would eat breakfast here again.
NO DISTANCING POLICY!We walked in and saw people allover next to each other and no spacing between tables. We walked out.OUR LIVES ARE MORE IMPORTANT
Decent restaurant. The building is split into a restaurant and a lounge. The A/C was struggling to keep up on the 100 degree evening we came. My Rock Burger was pretty good, but got very dry by the end, not enough sauce. Cleanliness was what you'd expect from a small town restaurant.
Very good food. Prices reasonable. Service outstanding. Glad we stopped here.
The food was delicious.. The waitress was absolutely awful. We litterally had to ask two or three times water and condiments and she forgot part of the food we ordered. So we had to wait 30 minutes for the pizza. I think if she spent more time doing her job instead of standing around talking she might make some tips.
Best place in town, family environment great food great people!!!! Thanks again for all you do to help us...
Excellent experience, great food and friendly atmosphere. I came to visit familyand have the pleasure of visiting this establishment in the morning and I can tell you had the best breakfast I have had in years. I had a full size steak and eggs and hash browns with a drink all for around 10.00. I decided to come back for and was greeted with an excellent hamburger menu and not to mention their freshly cut steaks. I had the honor of trying pork wings and they had two different sauces it was awesome. The waitress in the morning was Sam and the waitress for the evening was Terry. The owner is a veteran , retired Master Sergeant in the air Force, and this is a veteran ran establishment. as you see from my reviews I normally don't give high ratings but this one I will look forward to coming back to visit my brother just to eat here. Look at the pictures of the great food.
The food was sub par, like ordering cafeteria food. The wait was incredibly long. The only plus side was our waitress was super friendly. Wish I coukd remember her name. Everyone wore masks except for one waitress, or maybe she was a supervisor? There were not many choices in the area unfortunately.
Contrary to many reviews I've read, service was quick. Foods was fresh and very tasty. We ate outside and there was plenty of space between tables
Excellent service really good prices and the burger was cooked perfectly. As were the seasoned waffle fries. Also, it's a veteran owned business and give a nice military discount.
I ate a delicious burger on the patio. Staff was wonderful, service was great, and the food was excellent. Overall a transcendent experience.
Crazy place during Sturges. No masks and social distancing.
A little pricey but the food was good. Steak tips were delicious and nachos were spicy hot because of the orange (buffalo?) sauce.
Order as a pickup order. Ordering was good. Pickup was a little slow. Said it would be ready in 30 minutes but was closer to 45 minutes. For the food. I had ribeye and it was cooked just right. It had great flavor and using local beef a nice touch. Mashed potatoes and gravy was also very good. We had indian taco and it did not look like picture. Bread on bottom was pretty thick and a little overcooked and tough. But it was easy to pickup and eat that way. Breaded mushrooms were good. Regular taco the meat was a little burnt. Mini corn dogs were very good.
I dont know why anyone would choose the overpriced cafeteria food over this locally sourced (farm to table) diner! Glad I read their reviews before settling for the food at Wall's tourist trap! Breakfast and lunch were both great!
If your in wall, eat here 1st! Excellent food. Very nice waitress. Quick service for a wonderful meal.
Water tasted soapy, burgers were RAW (and we usually order medium so are used to some pink) but they were raw. Roast beef was all fat. Bacon was ALL fat, completely inedible. Beer tasted soapy and wasn’t very cold. Would definitely never go back again. Wings were weird and creepy. Yuck, a hard no from me.
Slow service, cold food. Actually complained and was given 25% off. The kid got pizza that was decent. More of a bar that serves food than a restaurant and bar.
The flies flew faster than the help. Dirty and service was absolutely terrible. The salad bar that came with the meal was nonexistent. Seriously. Everything was empty. Ordered ranch with an appetizer. Never showed up. Returned to the salad bar for the ranch dressing but there wasn’t any but there was iceberg mix lettuce. Everything else was still empty including most the dressings. Ordered lemon with the fish. It never showed up. Ordered another beer and it never showed up. Meals were ok at best. Prices were reasonable but it was probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced. In response to the owners response below:I don’t like leaving bad reviews but everything I shared was true. We did however go to the Three Amigos around the corner for lunch today and I posted a 5 star review for them. They were busy, the place was clean, service was solid and the food was good. Not perfect but they seemed to care unlike the service we received at Red Rock. To me that has value.
Staff was awesome. Food was good but nothing special. Isn't horrible ($$) for burgers but nothing spectacular.
It seems like a little does a lot to overwhelm staff and the restaurant was out of many items when we dined there. Also it was home to the most sparse “soup” and salad bar I’ve seen anywhere. Soup is in quotations because it only existed as a listed item on the menu.
The food here was delicious, especially the walleye, and the server was friendly and helpful. It’s the best eating experience we’ve had in the town of Wall.
The buffet food is cold and has a candle wax taste, ok coffee, nice staff
Great burgers, good kid food, cold beer. Perfect diner after along day of travel. Ps. Megan was A++++
But the best thing I can say is that the beer is it very cold. My third time eating there and all three times unsatisfied of the how the meal was cooked hamburger cooked to a crisp steak overdone and eggs underdone. Are very good things about this place. I'm going to give him one more try normally it's three strikes you're out but I'm bending the rules
Good location and super friendly staff. The beef tacos were good and the bread was good, but the sweet tea wasn't sweet and my baked potato was overcooked big time. Also, the appetizer nachos came with (unexpectedly) buffalo sauce and NO cheese. Bit pricey for the portions and the listed issues.
Food was freaking delicious. Good prices. Nice place.
Went to eat at diner section. The help acted like oh sh__, customers. Service was really slow. Beer list not updated. Took forever foreforer food to come and really wasn't that good. Waitress chit chatting about half the time. Told us the food was taking long because the kitchen is too small (but many tables closed because of covid)
Breakfast was really good. The prices were very low. The ham is amazing! My kids loved the biscuits and gravy. Definitely a great place to stop for food that isn't wall drug.
Lunch was okay nothin special, my beef quesidilla had some weird beef in it... supper was not as good, hardly anything left to salad bar, I ordered the $50 Tomahawk steak and she said it would take 35 minutes to cook medium rare, bertter not, thatll be over cooked even for 30 ounce! Well it came out really really rare, and then they put it one for almost 20min! Came out medium well to well..had to take it off bill...other than that it was OK
Good food and price. Took longer than i though but all good in the end
It was a nice outdoor patio with decent social distancing in place. Food was good, but small portions.
Easily the best meal we had on our 1-week road trip in SD. Might be the nest rib-eye I've eaten, and the girlfriend loved her fried chicken. Great happy hour deals on alcohol. Our waitress was very friendly, and all staff were wearing masks. A fantastic veteran-owned place, highly recommended!
Two stars for the salad bar. That was pretty good. Maybe it was the day we went or the cook we had but didn't know how to cook steak. Beef tips were over cooked and well done. Ordered medium rare. And 3 orders of beef steak. The "best" of the 3 was cooked medium well....when ordered medium rare. All the rest were no less then well done.
